See
the structure......
A garden without trees
scarcely deserves to be called a garden.
Canon Henry Ellacombe
Winter may seem a harsh and prohibitive time
to achieve much in the garden but we beg to
differ! The bare earth, lack of flowers and
emphasis on green foliage offer gardeners
the opportunity to see their garden structurally
and plan any changes or additions required.
This winter we urge gardeners to focus on
planting an interesting tree or two, a task
that takes less than an hour generally, yet
contributes to years of enjoyment as it develops,
producing the desired flowers, foliage or
fruit, not to mention growing into a spectacular
mature shape.
Our tree collection (both ornamental and
fruiting) is an eclectic mix of the unusual,
the interesting and the decorative. All trees
have the fortitude to grow in Wellington,
provided they are planted in a site most suited
to their requirements.
